There's a new plugin in development which you can use to bring highly customizable reflections to any existing plane in X-Plane 10.50: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/106628-materials-ng-plugin-reflections-for-x-plane-1050/

 

But X-Plane 11 is supposed to have similar functions built in.
