N1 / N2 turbine readings under engine out situations...

Featured Replies

iXEG 737 Classic...

Been looking at some videos.

I noticed that when an engine fails inflight, or is shutdown, the readings on N1 and N2 drop to 0, there being no windmill effects ?

Is the iXEG turbine model using the default XP10 turbine simulation ?  I thought it used an external model ?

Hi Jcomm,

I answered your post in the IXEG forum - can´t really post pics here (the process is both cumbersome and hopelessly oldfashioned) - but the windmill N1 on our model for a 300kt IAS descent is about 7% and the N2 is at 41% (at 22.000 feet).

Hope this helps, Jan
