I was having a lot of issues getting P3D to start so I did a repair install of the client only.  I later traced it back to a faulty FSUPIC install so a reinstall of that fixed the issue so it was a waste but oh well.  Since I did the repair install of the client, am I correct in assuming that I don't have to reinstall my addons such as ORBX base and UTX?

Yes, that's correct.  A Client Install\Repair will not effect these Add On's
