  2. Thank you guys !
  3. Really exciting stuff alright. The big killer though is the at least 6 year long wait for information (that's even if everything goes according to plan) My favorite youtuber Simon Whistler does a good mini doc on the Europa Clipper at this link https://n9.cl/thislink

  8. Hello Quint60 Is it possible what you are experiencing are the back up repair Installers Installing to the C Drive ? (This is normal, about 13 gig in hard drive space) After the Install has completed to your E drive you can confirm the location by right clicking on the Prepar3D desktop Icon and Open file location, Is this still your C drive ? For other users reading this, During the Install process you will have the Option to Install Prepar3D to a different location, You can achieve this by clicking Options and Create and Name a New Folder and Install Prepar3D to the location of your choice For Example: C\Prepar3D v4...D\Prepar3D v4...E\Prepar3D v4...
  9. Yes, They are called suggestions 🙂
  10. Hello Colin The KERNELBASE.DLL error can be cause by many different situations, Hardware Instability, Software, Out of date drivers, Add Ons and so on. Here are some suggestions taken from the Avsim CTD (Crash to Desktop) Guide Try these steps one by one and test as you go along 1) Possibly graphic settings are to high, Regenerate the Prepar3D.cfg file, Follow This Link for more Information. 2) Update or reinstall your graphics driver but maybe try DDU (Driver Display Uninstaller) to cleanly remove your previous driver and then reinstall your graphics driver again. Please see This Link for more Information. 3) Run the The System File Checker, Its a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files. For a guide to use this tool Click Here 4) Open the Windows Task Manager go to Start Up and disable all startups (that are not needed for operation of your computer) Then test Prepar3D 5) To eliminate a corrupt windows user Account, Temporarily Create another Windows User Account with Admin privileges, Sign into this new account and then launch Prepar3D and test

Try these steps, in this order 1) Delete the terrain.cfg file 2) Then Launch Prepar3D to the first screen, and then close Prepar3D down again, this will generate a default terrain.cfg file. 3) Now launch the FTX Central control panel and wait 10 \ 15 seconds Or until you see the message Activating Orbx Scenery at the bottom left, This will reconfigure your terrain.cfg file again 4) Close FTX Central Then launch Prepar3D and test ---- Also you could look at This Post and follow the steps for the Correct Scenery library priority and reinstalling the Orbx libraries. If you are still having Issues, Please post of the official FTX Forums for quicker support
  13. Hello Norman That's unfortunate. There is no need to reformat your disk (For now anyway) Just Uninstall & Reinstall Prepar3D as this may resolve your situation. Also do not manually delete any Prepar3D files or Add Ons in your core Prepar3D folder, Most Add Ons can survive a complete Prepar3D uninstall & reinstall As I said just Uninstall Prepar3D through the Windows control panel and then reinstall again. Then launch Prepar3D and test, If this works we can then discuss your Add Ons Follow these steps and you wont need to reactivate again when you reinstall Prepar3D 1) First: Deactivate Prepar3D by uninstalling the Client only, Follow This Link for steps to deactivate Prepar3D --- 2) After this: Uninstall the rest of Prepar3D, Note: You will now be missing the Client entry as seen below, Follow the steps regardless Navigate to your Control Panel "programs and features" Right Click on Prepar3D v4 Academic \ Professional Click Uninstall, Follow the prompted steps to complete the process When completed restart your computer... --- 3) Reinstall Prepar3D again by right clicking on the on Setup_Prepar3D.exe and Run as administrator Note: Before you run the Installer, Temporarily Disable your Antivirus Software and Firewall for the duration of the Install process only, If you are using Windows Defender Turn Off "Real Time Protection" in the Defender user interface. When the Install process has completed restart your computer and activate your security settings again --- 4) To give you a fresh start run the delete generate files command, Navigate to your core Prepar3D v4 folder, Scroll down a bit, Double left Click on the file Delete Generated files, A small black window will appear and then disappear again, this is normal Then launch Prepar3D and test, As i said If this works we can then discuss your Add Ons If not, You may need to do a clean uninstall of Prepar3D (Remove all Add Ons from the core folder) Let me know how you get on
  14. Hello Matej The following quote below is taken from the Prepar3D EULA (End user license agreement) "Licensee may return the Software for whatever reason, or no reason, at any time within 60 days of the date of this EULA, in accordance with Licensor's return policy as provided at the Prepar3D Website"
  15. Hello Norman Here is some additional steps you can try... 1) Temporarily disable your Antivirus Software and Firewall, Then launch Prepar3D and test. If you are using Windows Defender Turn Off Controlled folder access in the Windows Defender user Interface --- 2) Do you use the 3rd party Add On Reshade ? If so, Uninstall this Add On, Restart your computer, then launch Prepar3D and test --- 3) Uninstall and Reinstall the Prepar3D Client Only. (As you can see I have included clickable links for Images below) I) Navigate to your Control Panel right click on Prepar3D Academic \ Professional Client and click Uninstall II) The Windows programs and features box will appear, Click Yes to uninstall the Client III) You will now to given the Option to "Deactivate" the prepar3D license, Click No, The license will stay active so you will not need to reactivate again. IV) Reinstall the Client again, Navigate to your Prepar3D download folder, Right click on Install_Client.msi and click Install Now launch Prepar3D and test --- 4) Remove all USB Devices Including extra Monitors and USB sounds cards (Except keyboard and mouse) Plug just 1 Monitor back directly into your dedicated GPU and then launch Prepar3D and test. If this step is successful plug each USB device back in one by one and test as you go along Note: If you have USB Soundcards or FL Studio Installed please see the post below https://prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=130636 --- 5) Last resort: Note: This process will disable your 3rd party Add Ons and return Prepar3D back to a close default state again This Video will show you how to remove the 5 Prepar3D generated file locations. These files will generate again as default (No Add Ons) when you launch Prepar3D next. Follow the steps in the video then launch Prepar3D and test Note: First click and drag your scenery.cfg file to your desktop, You might be able to use this file afterwards If you are still having Issues after these steps, Please list the following Information Prepar3D version Operating system All add-ons installed (applications, scenery, vehicles, etc.) Note: List all Add Ons Hardware (graphics card, CPU, RAM, displays, etc.) Changes made to your system – overclocking, graphics accelerators (NVIDIA Inspector), debuggers Changes to Prepar3D's settings or configuration files Crash logs or error messages, Click Here for Instructions
