UK VFR scenery

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I am hoping to get some decent photoscenery for the UK and came across this:

http://en.shop.aerosoft.com/eshop.php?action=article_detail&s_supplier_aid=11967&s_design=default&shopfilter_category=flight%20simulation&s_language=english

I have used the simheaven stuff but unfortunately the tiles don't match up very well. Is this any better? Is it OrbX quality? I ask this, because it's quite old now and I've not seen it talked about much.

Hope you can advise!

No,  Its a much blander in color then Orbx,  But i like it,  I have all 4 Volumes.  Its expensive though but works perfect.

The thing about Photoscenery is, It hides (Covers)  all the Default roads and lights, so you wont have Night Lights,

But

You can pop Treelines_Farms in there to give you some nice trees and also pop Default England X-Planes Buildings & Roads to give you your roads and night lights back

It's pretty good, but out of date and the colours are a bit strange and dark. I have since replaced it with Ortho4XP photoscenery which I found had better colours and was sharper. You can use it or Ortho4XP photoscenery in combination with GB Pro (http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/34232-gb-pro-v2-detailed-vfr-scenery-for-great-britain/) which will add in all the objects, roads, houses and forest and this should give you some very accurate and good scenery for all of England, Scotland and Wales.
