  2. Hi Tomaz As the rest have posted your computer is fine to get Prepar3D v4 up and running with Add Ons. The more Add Ons you Introduce you will obviously need to adjust your settings via Prepar3D > Options. Lockheed Martin does offer a 60 day money back guarantee in there Refund Policy
  3. Hello Jonathan Yes you can simply Uninstall the Prepar3D v4.3 Client only and then Install the v4.1 Client. ------------------ Just back to your original Issue.... Did you remove \ Delete the 5 Prepar3D generated folders on your C-Drive operating system ? This will completely remove any Interference from muddled files or Incompatible software, Leaving Prepar3D in a default state Have a look at step 2 and 3 of the link below, Deleting generated files and the Documents location. Completing step 2 and 3 will remove all 5 folders. These folders will generate again as default when Prepar3D is launched next Let me know how you get on https://prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6316&t=130201#p183123
  4. Hello Rick Sorry to see you are having these Issues Just for anybody else with this message. This message is part of the Microsoft Visuals 2015 library 1) Download Microsoft Visuals 2015 (x64) and (x86) at the link below 2) Run both Installers as Administrator and restart your computer https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=52685 Unfortunately the "activation's" message is due to Prepar3D not being Uninstalled \ Deactivated properly to releases the License from your Operating system. E-mail licensing@prepar3d.com with a very brief explanation of the reason you need your license reactivated, along with your license ID and invoice number and you should be up and flying in under two business days. Note: When you send the email you should receive an autoresponder reply notifying you that your reactivation request has be received successfully
  5. Hello Rick It should by default. If you go to Prepar3D > Options > Calibration, Can you see your hardware type listed in the Controller box at the top ? 6. Hello xxd09 These files are for the Carenado weather radar. Users had Issues with these files in Prepar3D v3 and to my knowledge some users are still reporting problems with these also in Prepar3D v4
  7. Hello Sam Many users have reported freezes during flight, A lot of these cases were resolved by updating or reinstalling Utility Add On's. Just one of these below was resolved by reinstalling FSUIPC, Although Adam Breed did make good comment that could possible to a contributing factor https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=124814 ------------------------------------------------- Hello Amr These Add On's are situated in the Prepar3D v4 Add-ons folder in the Documents location of your PC. Personally speaking I would run a process of elimination Navigate to this location, Click and Move all the Add On folder out of this location and onto your Desktop, This will disconnect these Add Ons from Prepar3D. Then simply move back one Add On folder at a time into the Prepar3D v4 Add-ons folder, Then launch Prepar3D and test, Keeping adding the folders back one at a time and test as you go along. You will most likely find the problem this way

  15. Hello Just to add to Raymonds post You can automatically remove these files and folders from the 3 locations (ProgramData, Local and Roaming) by running the delete generated files command in the core Prepar3D folder. Navigate to your core Prepar3D v4 folder, Scroll down a bit, Double left Click on the file Delete Generated Files, A small black window will appear and then disappear again, this is normal .
  16. If not here is a quick step you can try to help resolve this. Note: This process will disable any 3rd party Add Ons you may have Installed Navigate to your core Prepar3D v4 folder, Scroll down a bit, Double left Click on the file Delete Generated Files, A small black window will appear and then disappear again, this is normal Then launch Prepar3D and test You will just need to adjust your graphic and scenery settings again via Prepar3D > Options after this action
  17. Hello lidorx7 With the exception of Orbx Global Base and FTX Trees, The Orbx Installers Install extra files to these locations Instead of modifying Prepar3D default files, This means you can either Update or reinstall Prepar3D and keep your entire Orbx Install in place. Note: If you update the Scenery component or reinstall Prepar3D you will need to reinstall Orbx Global base and FTX Trees, thats it though Please see the topic beow for steps you can take after either updating or reinstalling Prepar3D

  20. Hello No you can not have minor versions of Prepar3D Installed and running side by side, Example Prepar3D v4.x and v4.x. You can though have major version's of Prepar3D running side by side as they can work \ live on the same machine no problem, Example, Prepar3D v2, v3, v4 As stated in the comments above you can test the Clients one by one if you like by simply uninstalling the current Client and then Installing the Legacy Client. To access the Legacy Clients please sign into your Prepar3D Account, Click the +Legacy Client Downloads (click to expand) to reveal the Client Installers. You will find Legacy Clients here only, v4, v4.1 and v4.2 To swap out a Client, Follow the steps below Navigate to your Control Panel, Right Click on Prepar3D v4 Academic \ Professional Client, Click Uninstall This box will appear, Click Yes to Uninstall the Client You will now be given an option to "deactivate Prepar3D v4 or not " If you are simply updating or changing the Client, You can choose “No” Your Prepar3D license will stay active, therefore you will not have to reactivate once the update is finished. Then sign into your Prepar3D Account, Click the +Legacy Client Downloads (click to expand) to reveal the Client Installers. You will find Legacy Clients here only, v4, v4.1 and v4.2. Make your choice, Click to download and then Install
