October 19, 20169 yr Hey Guys, I've recently put my hands on the DX10 Fixer and since then I am struggling with having good performance on DX10! That means that I only get like 13fps in the NGX-VC when sitting at the Terminal at ENGM! I know that DX10 and espacially the Fixer isn't supposed to be THE performance enhancer but I still see the good thing in DX10 and want to give it a try! Maybe some of you guys can help me, as I know there are a lot of very intelligent guys out there! My system is as following: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit AMD Phenom II X6 1055T @ 3,4 GHz [OC'd] XFX AMD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition [2GB GDDR5 VRAM] 2x 4GB HyperX blu DDR3-RAM ASUS M5A78L LE Screen Res. is 1920x1080 So what I have done is following: - Installed the Fixer, read the manual and applied my profile ( https://www.dropbox.com/s/y16zd2seevc8y5a/Adrian.dfp?dl=0 ) - Read the DX10-HowTo ( http://www.nzfsim.org/index.php?dsp=dload&fname=DX10_HowTo.pdf ) - Configured RadeonPro with following settings according the DX10-HowTo: ( https://www.dropbox.com/s/cqsg74z3t59vyip/FSX.xml?dl=0 ) - Configured the FSX settings according Matt Davies 2016 Tweak Guide for the FSL A320X and tweaked the fsx.cfg: ( https://www.dropbox.com/s/oa5nq61fgk6k4lo/fsx.CFG?dl=0 ) Can you guys maybe take a look at it and give me some tips? Greets from Germany, Adrian!
October 23, 20169 yr Commercial Member Have you converted all effects? That's the only thing I can think of that causes a big slowdown. In the scenario described you are almost certainly CPU limited. In the VC in dx10 the Aircraft model is drawn twice (once for shadows) so I would always expect dx10 to have a lower fps with a complex VC such as pmdg. My FSX Analysis Blog
