Virtual co-pilot or Crew software...

Featured Replies

Just curious if there is any software that would allow you to program a set of checklists? By this I mean actual commands, like raising the landing gear, actuating flaps, truning lights on, checking on status of a particular system, or any other part of a checklist procedure. I know there are some out there, but seem to only do so by voice callouts, wihtout any actual functionality performing the actual command, with the exception of FS2Crew of course. I fly jets a lot that are not covered by FS2crew, and for the time being before they release some for the other planes currently offered, anything of this sort could help alleviate the load a lot, especially on a busy on-line ATC environment. Any help would be appreciated, regards,Macs :)

There are a few programs that I know of:1. Flight Deck Companion (FDC) is a generic add-on that gives you spoken checklists, flightdeck calls, GPWS and much more. It is quite a massive add-on and I haven't explored all of it's features, but it might be exactly what you're looking for.http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk/2. Flight Assist is a freeware voice recognition program.http://www.thelindercompany.de3. FS2Crew gives you a complete F/O and probably the most realistic Copilot, albeit only for the PMDG 737 and the Flight1 ATR 72http://www.fs2crew.com4. EFB2004 is an electronic flight box that allows you to create spoken checklists among many other features (charts, moving, map, in-flight browser)http://fswidgets.comI have all add-ons and all of them are great.Hope this helps,Pat

Thanks to all for your suggestions, will check 'em out :)regards,Macs :)

You can't go wrong with FS2Crew. If you own the PMDG NG or Flight 1's ATR, these are must-haves. FS2Crew for PMDG NG is fantastic, but the ATR edition is absolutely amazing.Picture this analogy, if flying the ATR w/o FS2Crew is like watching black and white tv, flying with FS2Crew is like watching HDTV. It makes a huge difference!
