October 30, 20169 yr I am looking for the best specification (and quality) laptop for less than £500 for my dad. This would be for running office software (Word/Excel/Powerpoint) and the internet (Wireless connection). It would be useful to have a built in DVD player, although that is not absolutely essential. I was thinking about 8GB RAM, 500GB/1TB hard disk, 15.6" screen, and Windows 10 64bit. He would also like to know if this laptop could be plugged into his existing 19" desktop monitor when he is at home, and if he could use his existing mouse and keyboard. Any suggestions or advice?
