FSX.CFG not found

Recommended Posts

When I re-installed my PC with a fresh WIN10 install I only used FSX Steam edition.

Under Users\...\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\  I have two folders  FSX and FSX-SE  Both have ...cfg files called fsx.cfg  and fsx_se.cfg  No idea why.

The main entry under the FSX folder has the most recent date and the other only has a few lines of text.

Sorry to have confused the issue further.

The error now comes up on my system too.

If you want to keep FSX-SE only take a look at this:

http://www.avsim.com/topic/462765-fsx-steam-edition-creates-fsx-se-folders-instead-of-fsx/

https://fsxinsider.com/transitioning-from-boxed-fsx-to-fsxse-part-1-fsx-stripback/

I've uninstalled boxed version, deleted some registry items and FSX-SE installs fine in single-mode and creates FSX folders and fsx.CFG instead of fsx_se.CFG
