Why am I getting frequent pauses??????

Featured Replies

Hello Gang! For the last couple of months I have been getting frequent pauses; I mean, a real "Simulation Paused" message. What causes this? The good thing is that it does not crash the sim, it simply pauses it, but it is annoying at best. Thanks for any input!Sincerely,Dennis D. Mullert

There are hundreds of factors. Hardware setup, page file size, addons, drivers. Your question is like asking, how long is a piece of string. There is no correct answer. We need more details.

It may sound dumb, but did you inadvertantly map the pause button to another one by mistake?billg

Or maybe have one of the addon aircraft which have Pause at TOD activated?

Interestingly, I had exactly this problem once with an aircraft I was beta testing - it happened at exactly 100KIAS on the take off run and throughout the flight every time an FMC Message was generated. FS paused, and continued as soon as I pressed "p" again with no apparent changes being made.It had never happened before, has never happened since so unfortunately I have no idea what caused it. Doesn't help much, I'm afraid, but at least I know what you mean!!!Does it happen on any aircraft in particular, or all? What add-ons are you running (e.g. ActiveSky, ArrCab, SB3, anything that runs at the same time)?Ian P.
