Yesterday downloaded trial  setupP2A_20121.exe Beta,  but when I start it as administrator it get to 40% I get a popup - Database Error - Unable to initialize Database.  I click OK the program continues to load will connect to simulator but cannot load flight plan.

I do get other popups

Error Number:1813  State:2    Class:16

Tony, I had this error one time.  I found the latest navdata had not installed correctly.  Check the default P2ATC navdata format and if updating it make sure the components are correct.  Go to .../P2ATC _200/Data

Hope this helps, Bruce

Tony,

This error may be related to the DB log files being out of sync.  There are 2 log files in the Data sub-folder:

P2ABaseData_log.ldf

P2ADynamicData_log.ldf

Delete these two files.  (Be sure they are the ones with the .ldf extension.)

They should get rebuilt when you open Pilot2ATC again.

Regards,

Dave

Thanks Bruce & Dave for the very quick reply

The only files in my Data folder are:-  cycle_info.txt,   P2ABaseData.mdf,    P2ADynamicData.mdf,   and the Backup folder is empty.

I have installed Pilot2ATC v2.00 Beta, then  Pilot2ATC_Update_20121

How do you update the Navdata, where should it be?

Thanks for your help and  suggestions

I have now got it working this my help others.

If you right click on Pilot2ATC_200.exe and open Properties the the Security tab there should be "Authenticated Users"  I did not have this so I add it and then gave  Pilot2ATC_200.exe  full control under Authenticated Users.

It now all works. As soon as I did this an started the program it wrote the files  P2ABaseData_log.ldf  & P2ADynamicData_log.ldf  which I never had before.

I hope this helps anyone with problems getting it to work.

Tony
