Hi, I am currently flying from Cairo to Dubai and am over the Saudi Arabaian desert, My textures below are all greenish and certainly not the sandy color I would expect in this part of the world. Now I've played with base texture releases like most people over the years that FS has been installed and I was wondering is this normal for FS9 in this part of the world or have I messed up something over the years here! its a landclass problem, not sure if there are good landclasses out there for the middle east, I wish FS Genesis did a world mesh

Hello Tim,Anyone can change the land class - it is one of the easiest things to do, and very quick.Please see "Simple Instructions for Modifying Land Class", in the Avsim library.Make that Empty Quarter really look desolate!Best regards.Luis

It appears that the default landclass for this area is a mixture of 51 and 8, region 10. These equate to textures 3 and 2. There are no unique region textures for these, so region 2 (:( is used. This area also calls out only spring and summer seasons. So, the default textures should have names like:002B2Su1.bmp003B2Su1.bmpThe default textures have no spring variant. I can't see any green in any of the textures. Check to see if you installed any replacements for these textures.scott s..
