But, it's a really nice alternative sim, offers most of what we have and also things we do not have in the payware alternatives, and:

- Covers the whole World;

- Has Season Textures;

- Has real world weather with pretty good results, and advanced weather allowing even for nice soaring using different sources of lift, from thermals to wave!

- Has coorect Moon and Sun ephemeris, with correct Moon phase, and very precise daylight for any date/time and place, and even has most visible stars / constellations / planets;

- Can use various flight models, some of them allowing for sopghisticated systems modelling, as well as weather effects;

- IT'S FREE !!!!

You can't compare free stuff with paid ones, the paid ones need to make money well that's my opinion.

True, but truth is, being free it offers more than the payware alternatives in some aspects ...

I agree that it offers everything because it's free and usually one can't complain if this is not there or that is not, with payware you can keep complaining ,because these small companies like LR probably survive on this kinda development and giving all the features would not produce much income during every product launch. Though the basic stuff should be there.

 It's fun to fly the glider in FG
