Question about Ezdoc/FSX

Hello everyone

 

I have a quick question about Ezdoc. I just changed from FS9 to FSX. After 10 years using active camera I'm going to need a replacement. I read Ezdoc is a favorite, but I have a question about it before I buy it. 

 

I use a laptop to fly my sim, so I need to know if Ezdoc allows you to navigate around the VC via the touchpad and then control live cockpit controls with the touchpad while in navigation mode. 

 

The videos I have watched seem to show Ezdoc navigation control via keyoard shortcuts and then instrument control on stationary panels, but I can't fly like this.
