Hybrid solution ?

Recommended Posts

I wonder how it would work if only the scenery / traffic / "leaving world" and maybe ATC components of P3D v4 were migrated to 64 bit, leaving the kernel sim in it's 32 bit, and thus ensuring compatibility with most of the aircraft add-ons.

A good example is when ESP/ P3D, and other platforms like X-plane, are used as visuals generators for flight simulators like ELITE or Aerowinx PSX, which are 32 bit.

On a first step, LM could try to upgrade the World / Visuals / AI Traffic / .... to 64 bit, and then, on a new version and seeing how this would cope with the usual limitations imposed by a full 32 bit platform, migrate the kernel sim as well ( ? )
