All textures disappear after loading

Featured Replies

Hello everybody,

I've never had any issue with P3D V3 before but after starting P3D again this morning, all my textures suddenly disappeared after loading,

every texture becomes black.

After I've loaded my simulator, my textures do all appear and work well but they disappear after 1 second.

I do also have this problem with the default sceneries and aircrafts.

My system spec:

- i5-6600K (3,9 Ghz no OC)

- MSI GTX 960 4GB

- 16 GB DDR4 RAM

- windows 10 (64-bit)

I've tried to reinstall my nvidia drivers but that didn't solve the problem.

The version of my drivers is 376.33.

I've nothing changed to my simulator files this morning so I don't know what to do.

I hope that someone can help me.

This is really not a CTD (although your textures go black and you have to shut it down).  I'm moving this to the P3D Forum as you might find more people to help you.

Black textures indicate memory starvation.  Probably a bad tweak (Bufferpool or Affinity Mask) and/or high settings in the P3D.cfg and the display driver settings.  I would rename or delete your P3D.cfg, restart P3D and let the config rebuild.

Another cause is too many photosceneries loading.  Photosceneries that are enabled will load not matter where you are flying.  I personally had this issue when I enabled 40 Megascenery US States.  It brought my computer down at setup, made my aircraft appear black, and, when I started the sim, it took a long time (over 20 minutes) and the screen was black.

Best regards,

Jim

I'll try to rebuild my p3d.cfg and see if it works. I've never added Affinity Mask, Bufferpool or any other tweak in p3d.cfg. I'll also try disabling sceneries that I don't use. The strange thing is that I've nothing changed to my addons or settings and I've never had any problem before with my settings.

And everything actually loads well and shows up like it used to be. Only after that, everything becomes black.

Thank you very much for your reply!

I've deleted my p3d.cfg and everything is working again.
