my scenery library only lists 224 entries. but when i boot up I get a message about an error in area 613. there are most likely many more entries

Probably the number was not in the correct ascending order. For example in your scenery.cfg it can be area 200, area 201, area 202 then jump straight to area 610,611,613...

You should check your scenery.cfg

my scenery.cfg  lists as the last entry. I'm afraid this doesn't tell me anything.  It's KPYT in the scenery library.

[Area.120]
Title=Addon Scenery
Local=Addon Scenery
Layer=120
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE

FSX:SE scenery.cfg should be located here C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX

no  C:\Program Data\Microsoft\FSX in my computer. no C:\ProgramData\

Hi, it is hidden. If you are using Win10, go to My Computer, on top click File -->Option-->View. There is a circle tick where it shows "Show hidden files, folders, and drives". Tick it and Apply, Ok.

Your ProgramData folder should show up. And it will help you a lot when reaching FSX.cfg too.

If you can not find it out, google "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" .

Good Luck.

Hoang Le.
