Installing, then uninstalling...

Featured Replies

Hi, I'd much appreciate any help on this matter:

Once I've finally had FSX up & running (not without having had to overcome all sorts of difficulties), I think it might be time to uninstall FS9, which has been there, peacefully living along in the same HD so far.

However, I feel a bit uneasy about such uninstalling, in case it might hurt somehow the FSX installation, registry keys, etc.

What do you think?

Thanks in advance, best regards.

Backup your system and/or clone your system and flight sim drives. Both to be sure plus create system restore point in windows, depending on your version. Then experiment as you wish, remove fs9. If all is good fine if not restore from backup. Every time I get fsx in a state I'm happy with I do a complete backup. I suspect I'm one of many here who do that.
