March 5, 20179 yr Quote I suspect it's not as I,m sure I've powered up the real AC with Gnd power first, then turned on batt and stnd by power to auto. How long after Ext Power was applied did you switch on the battery and standby power? The Fault Isolation Manual does say that the message may be latched. This usually means that certain other conditions have to be present before it is latched (time delays, flight phases, etc). I have a photograph I took on a real aircraft operating on Standby Power only... and the the Aileron Lockout Status message was displayed. I don't remember having to clear the message after I applied External Power. However, this is the reverse case.... External Power without Standby Power. Unfortunately, Boeing doesn't always provide information on the detailed logic required for message generation/latching (even to the people working on the aircraft). Maintenance engineers just carry out checks, replace components, etc and clear the message manually via the Central Maintenance Computer if it is latched (if the maintenance manual says to do so). All I can suggest is submit a ticket to PMDG and see if they can come up with some further information.... or just follow the correct procedure (We learn to do this to aviod glitches on the real aircraft, too ).
