Any Guides on Flying Across Pacific?

Featured Replies

I remember seeing something on the forums when the 777 came out about Trans-Pacific flights. Anyone know if there's something for the 747 yet, in particular flights to Australia as these don't use PACOTS. I'm planning on flying KSFO-YSSY tomorrow and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on procedural guides.

This is the remark field of the KZAK controller on Vatsim right now. :) You don't ask for a oceanic clearance as far as I know, except for that it is very similar to Atlantic crossing from what I am seeing.

This is a non-radar environment. Position reports required at each fix. Please report as follows Callsign,
last fix and time crossed, flight level, estimated next fix and time, then next fix, mach number, ground
speed. All aircraft squawk 2000 while in Oceanic airspace.
