Cross Variant Panel state

Recommended Posts

If i was to make my own Panel State for the Freighter, by using the long turn around state, firing up the APU and Gen 1 to open the front and Large side cargo door and then switching to ground power again and turn of the APU to save fuel, and then saved it and selected it as my default panel state.  What effect would it have on the normal 747-400 as that doesnt have the large cargo doors? As as far as im aware you set one default panel state for all variants?

Many thanks in advance.

I'd just make separate panel states. Looking in the panel states via Notepad, the door configurations are a little different. Here's mine for the -400.

You'll note the differences. By default, there's four panel states, but you can certainly create more if you'd like. I have a total of 12, four for the -400, four for the -400M, and four for the -400ERF. I may decide to make a fifth for each for if I just want to have the plane completely ready for departure and I just jump in and fly.
