Chrome not showing any inline images

I'm having some strange problems with my installation of Chrome, I can't seem to view any inline images (e.g. http://www.avsim.com/topic/486221-dcs-normandy-ww2/#entry3398444) on Avsim and some other forums. All I get is a broken icon. If I open in Firefox, Safari or IE I have no problems.

 

I've disabled all addons but still no joy, does anyone else have this issue or know what it could be?
