December 29, 200520 yr I'm running FS2004, and until recently it had is full compliment of worldwide airports, but now I can only get access to airports in Europe! For example if I try and put myself at a known USA airport, my aircraft finishes up in a field surrounded by houses.I've a sneaking suspicion that something nasty happened when I loaded Just Flight Roads and Rivers of Europe. Basically its the only specific European software that I've loaded. Is there an easy way to re-load all the airports, of do I have to re-install FS2004?Any ideas???
December 29, 200520 yr Hello. I am in no way a expert or as experinced as alot of the other members here so I am sorry if this is not alot of help. The first thing I would try doing before thinking about reinstalling Flight Simulator 2004. Would be, to remove what you added before this problem happend. I would then give it a shot and have fs rebuild the fs9.cfg. Last thing I could suggest is make sure your Scenery for other countrys is present within the C:Program FilesMicrosoft GameFS9Scenery. Sorry if this is not much of a help.

Seems the Area.xx and Layer.xx get out of sync somehow.I just open scenery.cfg in Notepad and go down the listmaking sure the "xx"'s are the same for each entry. After that ewverything is back to normal. December 30, 200520 yr Hi Paul,Thanks for your reply. Your suggestion did the trick!!There were also quite a few Active=FALSE entries, which I changed to Active=TRUE, which probably also helped. Many ThanksPeter

The "Active=" state should reflect the conditions of the check boxes in the "Settings" "Scenery Library" "Areas List" scenery configuration page. When you add new scenery you use the "Add Area" button. This will place it at the top of the list ( end of the scenery.cfg file ). If you un-check the "Enabled" box the scenery area will still be listed in the scenery.cfg file but the "Active=FALSE" will be set. I have around 110 or more areas in my scenery lists ( I have four seperate installs of FS9 ) and for some reason the individual scenery.cfg's tend to get hosed every now and then, even though I always use the buttons on the "Settings-Scenery Library" page to add/delete/move up/down. Chalk it up to another MS quirk and just remember to check the numbering when you begin to notice odities... Paul
