FPS Issues on GTN 750 v2.4.0 [XP11]

Featured Replies

Hi,

I upgraded to the latest version yesterday and first thing I noticed was a performance hit compared to the prior version. I use VSync to lock my rate at 30fps and was able to maintain it during all sorts of conditions, but since the new upgrade I'm getting 4-7 less frames once the GTN is enabled which makes it noticeable. Version 2.3 allowed to maintain 30fps under most circumstances.

Played with the new options [refresh rate and only enabled the North America Map] but the issue remains. Is there any way I can downgrade to the prior version or perhaps a work around?

These are the contents of the logs:

17/02/22 19:58:02.810 12168 -    ] # win.xpl version 2.4.0.0

17/02/22 19:58:05.008 12168 -    ] # rxpGtnSim64.dll version 2.4.0.0

My system is Win7 - Intel i7 4790K OC'd 4.5Ghz, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA Quadro M4000

Thank you in advance for any feedback.

Did you also update from trainer 6.01.1 to 6.21, or is the FPS difference with the same trainer version? As a matter of fact, what is the trainer version you are using?

Thank you for your quick response. I'm running the 6.21.0 version.

You got me intrigued so I've spent some time to see what can be done, and I've managed to get around 5 to 10 FPS more on average on a test system (average around 60) ! I'll have more tests to do but the gain looks interesting to me.

fps have increased for me with pb12 and so far no crashing

Hi, next update is coming up very very soon (maybe tomorrow) with definitely a perf boost on most our test systems. As a matter of fact, I've even ran 2 GTN and 2 GNS in XP10-64 with nearly no changes in FPS (over the Alps, no complex scenery).
