FS9 Gate Assignments and realistic ground support

Featured Replies

1. I've been working up my own little airline and would like to know how to assign specific gates to ONLY my airline. Could someone please point me in the right direction... please. After setting this up would the ground controller assign you to the correct gates or would it just always be empty for you?2. I'd also like to add realistic airport activities while on the ground (i.e. moving vehicles and such). Again, a point in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks,

ONLY my airlineIn FS2004 this can only be done with aircraft radius. Also the parking assignment system is setup for AI aircraft only - not the aircraft you are flying. The way to make it work is to change the aircraft radius to a very small number of meters, and set the gate you want in that size also. The aircraft and gate need to be smaller than the smallest AI or other aircraft that might be on your system. The parking assignmet system sets PRIORITIES for parking - but does NOT exclude any aircraft small enough to fit in the parking spot.add realistic airport activities while on the ground There are two ways to do this - static and movingStatic - simply requires a program like Rwy 12 or one of the other similar programs to place some vehicle / object models around the airport.Moving - there are some of these in some payware sceneries, and possibly some freeware. Basically you have to have models of the vehicles / objects and they have to work like AI aircraft - just that they taxi only. A lot of work and great potential for conflicts with your AI aircraft and airport scenery.
