Transition from Auto to Manual flight

Recommended Posts

Seems like opinion favors turning A/T off first, then A/P and then FD (both) to get into a totally manual situation.

If you're on an approach and busy concentrating is there a way to have the Left Side FD switch also activate (switch off) the Right Side FD?

Thank's

I don't think both can go at the same time.

I've mapped ctl-f to the left and ctl-shift-f to the right. Both commands can be done with one hand on the keyboard.

Key command mapping can be done in the PMDG Options part of the FMC.

Thanks. That's one way but another sim I use has a option to have a set of actions done by the 1st Officer. Turning off his FD when you turn yours off is one of the actions you can select. Maybe for a future update?

Thanks again.

Another addon allows to command both FD by right clicking on the either switch instead of left mouse button.
