March 26, 20179 yr Easy question I'm sure. Before I invest in an Orbx Region ... Are the airports within that region "ORBX enhanced" or are the FSX default airport objects used still? I'm really not certain what ORBX regions provide in relation to default. RM Killins
March 26, 20179 yr Hi RM, The regions improve a vast number of airports to the typical ORBX FTX Global "Freeware" standard... Generic ORBX libraries are used - so buildings will not be an exact match while still being 1000 times better than default - they still contain a great amount of detail and even moving people... The improved airports are certainly a vast improvement over default, plausible, and a joy to visit... Just download the FTX Global Freeware Airports packages and you can see for yourself before purchasing... Here is a snapshot from around Sacramento CA - ORBX NCA Region - every airport depicted on the map is "improved" by the NCA region... Here are the airports included in the ORBX FTX Global Freeware Packs: (Red=Free Blue=Payware) https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=16TLldaoxxmFv7wOWfYyM8zV-bgM&hl=en_US&ll=-3.81666561775622e-14%2C0&z=1 Regards, Scott
March 31, 20179 yr Author Hi Scott, thanks so much. I was hoping that Orbx region's would deliver improved airport scenery in addition to the land mass. It doesn't have to be as detailed as their specific payware airports, any improvement over default FSX will be great. Sounds like it will be money well worth it. RM Killins

But the true value is in the regions. And the airport enhancements are really pretty nice. My home is in Scott's Sacramento area screenshot, and I'm familiar with a number of airports here. Just a few great airports enhanced within the NorCal region include KLHM, KDWA (2Q3 in FSX), KAUN, KUKI, KSCK... truthfully, it is a long list! I wish they would do more regions. HTH Greg
