? about AI flightplans

Featured Replies

On some of the AI flightplans, the authors assign 1% to every flight. This isn't so bad in the western US, Canada, Alaska, but on the east coast, it's murder on fps. An example I have is a MRAI plan for USAIR Express. Its nice to have all the flights and be accurate, but it would be nice to turn some of them off when you get to KLGA, KJFK, KBOS, etc.Is there any way, other than to go through and change the flightplans, to randomize these so some are 25%, some 80%, etc?I do appreciate the work that authors go through to make these. I just wish they would assign some different percentages to the flights. After all, if we want all the flights, we just turn traffic to 100%. If you're trying to get extra frames at KLGA to land, in weather, then turning down traffic will have a minimal effect, if enough flightplans all have everything at 1%.Rick

If you are using the MRAI installer, there is an option to randomise the AI percentage, which will solve your problem.I randomise the big airlines so that they don't swap my airports, but do not randomise the small airlines so that there is lots of variety. For non MRAI flight plans, use AI Traffic Mover from http://www.molitor-home.de/fs/aitm/to randomise the percentage

I have always had a problem getting the MRAI installer to run. Even asked on the MRAI website when it was still active, and nobody had an answer. Can't even remember what the error was now, but it would not run on my XP system.Rick

I am not a "stupid person", but I am having a hard time figuring out AITM. I have the lastest version for FS2004. I decompiled the USAIR Express flightplan with TTools 2. At the bottom of the screen, AITM show me that this flightplan is loaded and has 249 flights, with 14,xxx legs, but I can't figure out how to bring it up on the monitor and/or how to adjust the %. I have looked thru the docs and am either missing something, or what I am looking for is not in the docs.Any help would be greatly appreciated getting through the first one!ThanksRick

Hi,The contents of the plan are never on the screen.Go to Tools then Randomize AI Percentage. A box will ask you for the start percentage and a second box will ask for the end percentage. You should then save the plan and re-compile.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-beta.jpg
