iFly 747 SIDS/STARS

Featured Replies

Has anyone been able to figure out how to add SIDs and STARs to the iFLY. I understand that NAVDATA is used for all the waypoints and such but the iFLY has it's own folder in the FS9 folder which has subfolders SID and STAR. they both have specific .dat files for the SIDs and STARs...any help? Thanks

OK ALL, I recieved an email from the designers this evening. They currently do not have anything but the SIDs/STARs that are included, however there is a tutorial included with the download on how to create them yourself...also the #1 engine shutdown bug is currently being worked on.

I also e-mailed them about SIDS/STARS a long time ago, here is the reponse I was given:'Hi [Name removed for privacy reasons]:I'm very glad to know you like iFly 747! The iFly 747 of this versioncan't using other aircraft's SIDS/STARS. This feature maybe added in nextversion.Best[iFLY Developer name removeed for pirvacy reasons]'So It could happen :D, The navdata is just the PMDG-767 PIC One if anyone doesn't know that yet :).

Anyway left the plane to fly overnight while I slept. Woke up next morning with the external view on and when I panned to view the rear of the aircraft I noticed only 3 vapor trails and the plane flying crabbed a bit. :-lolI tried to restart in flight, but couldn't get her started (after trying everything I knew...). So I just continued the flight without mishap. But in the future I'd like to fly on all engines...call me crazy that way. Hehe.I only had a short interlude with the plane but it is a true marvel of what can be accomplished by a bunch of guys crazy enough to build that level of programming into a flightsim product! (I had a blast just playing with the FMC and ECAS pages...amazing stuff).Regards,Steve Drahttp://img47.photobucket.com/albums/v144/S...Dra/banner1.jpgDownload my planes at Avsim here:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...&Go=Change+View
