FSX crashes after takeoff

Featured Replies

Hi.

I purchased the new 747 a few days ago and I'm really pleased by its aesthetics. However, I can't even complete a full flight as my flight simulator freezes after takeoff. What happens is I call normal after-takeoff procedures and when I select flaps 5/10 and switch off the outboard lights my flight simulator freezes there and then. Without clicking anything else for 10 seconds, FSX crashes to the desktop. I don't have this problem with the 737,old 747 or 777 and I'm getting similar fps as with the 777. Any help would be appreciated greatly!

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum. Please note that full names - first and last - are required in your posts.

Regarding your issue, we'll need to see a crash log:

Start > begin typing "View Prob" and look for an entry called "View All Problem Reports" > Select it > Look for your sim in the list and click on it for a list of crashes > Select the latest crash > Copy the log and paste it into a response here.

This is the technical report from when my sim. crashed yesterday afternoon. This time it wasn't after takeoff but when I had reached cruising altitude for about a few minutes.
