April 24, 20179 yr I have been using MSFS since it inception. I am currently using FSX:SE. I have applied most of the FSX.cfg tweaks to optimize things out. I am fairly content with the way things are performing. I have been contemplating a switch over to P3D, but just cannot pull the trigger on the cost. However, if LM ever gets P3D developed for 64bit, I may reconsider, but for now I am curious on whether or not to purchase and apply Steve's DX10 Fixer or wait out the race to the next major sim release to see if DTG or LM crosses the 64bit threshold. From what I have read and seen so far, the DX10 Fixer would be an excellent investment, but I'm in sort of a quandary because I'm satisfied pretty much with the setup I currently have vs trying to stretch a little more eye candy into my sim and maybe a little more optimization. So, I'm looking for some advice here. Thanks in advance for any recommendations, suggestions or advice! April 25, 20179 yr Author haha....I went ahead and purchased and applied the DX10 Fixer and Cloud Shadows. So far, I do not regret it. I should have done this many moons ago. Make sure that you try the DX10 Preview Mode BEFORE you buy the fixer to make sure that it works on your system - just ignore any graphics glitches, the fixer will sort them out. The fixer is almost worth the price for the cockpit shadows alone! i7-14700k | Asus ROG STRIX Z790-F Gaming WIFI | 32GB DDR5 RAM | MSI RTX 4080 Super | WD Black SN850X 1TB & 2TB | Corsair HX1000i ATX3.0 | MSI MAG401QR 40" monitor | Win 11 Pro 64-bit | Meta Quest 3

Aye, I did run it with DX10 Preview mode a couple days ago and everything seemed pretty good, but I did notice the "normal" graphics anomalies which they are gone now. Thank you for the reply!!! Thank you for the reply!!! Also, definitely consider getting the cloud shadows add-on for the fixer - highly recommended! i7-14700k | Asus ROG STRIX Z790-F Gaming WIFI | 32GB DDR5 RAM | MSI RTX 4080 Super | WD Black SN850X 1TB & 2TB | Corsair HX1000i ATX3.0 | MSI MAG401QR 40" monitor | Win 11 Pro 64-bit | Meta Quest 3

May 14, 20179 yr I just took my first flight after installing DX10 Fixer Version 3.3. What a major improvement! I've only recently started flying again. This is an amazing upgrade!
