Is there a way to lock the camera on to the plane - for example, can you affix the camera to the wing so you get the perspective as the wing moves in the wind?

Switch to the Outside camera mode and save the camera. The behavior you are looking for is the default in Outside mode.

Chuck, I genuinely want to help you get the answer you are looking for. The question for me is simple: How to I attach a camera to the outside of the aircraft.

And to that I answer that the Outside mode does exactly that by default.

It's either I do not understand your question or the question is not formatted in a way I could understand exactly what you are asking.
