May 19, 20179 yr Cant get XP to install after download, I cant get though the setup. I keep getting "Make sure you choose the folder where X-Plane.exe is located" I believe I picked the right one but no go. Is there a number for tech support? frustrated
May 20, 20179 yr Hi, the folder you have to select is the one where "X-Plane.exe" is located. Please make sure to select the main X-Plane folder, not any other subfolder (like the plugins subfolder). If this fails, it could mean: 1) There is no X-Plane.exe in the folder you've selected. 2) The folder access rights prevent the installer to access X-Plane.exe file to check it exists. 3) The X-Plane.exe file version is not correct (9.xxx. 10.xxx or 11.xxx) Hope this helps!

If so, I'd guess the place you are asking the question is the place to ask questions isn't it? If not, can you please try explaining what you'd expect? 17 hours ago, landon said: I posted yesterday but didn't get a response? Please re-read post #2 above, it starts with "Hi, the folder you have to select is the one where..." 17 hours ago, landon said: I don't see any file that's says X-plane.exe? Considering you are trying to install the Reality XP GNS V2 for X-Plane, we'd assume you do have X-Plane (9, 10 or 11) installed isn't it? If so, it is installed in its own folder on one of your hard-drive. The X-Plane program is at least named "X-Plane.exe" in the aforementioned folder. This folder is therefore the one to select with the installer.
May 21, 20179 yr Author I did install X-Plane 10 running with DVD's don't know if that makes a difference? I do see the program on my hard drive when I select it I get a error message that says "not a valid x-plane 9 folder" (I have 10?)have tried to copy and paste a image of where I get stopped it but unable. I'm am like a fish out water on the forum sorry, I do appreciate your help very much! Any chance I could call you? landon
May 22, 20179 yr Well, if the installer tells you it is an invalid X-Plane 9 folder, when pointing to the X-Plane 10 folder, it is because you've instructed the installer to install for X-Plane 9 instead of X-Plane 10! Just make sure to select "X-Plane 10" in the installer, so as to instruct it you want to install for "X-Plane 10".
