Google Earth plugin or option for mapping addon airports with live weather overlay?

Featured Replies

Hi,

For years I have been using Google Earth to map my addon airports. There are a couple kmz files out there that contain most of the airports in FSX. When I buy a new airport, I select the airport and it appears on the map.

Why do I do this? I think it is really helpful when deciding where to fly, because I determine where to fly by finding two airports that are x distance from each other that currently have interesting weather and I have addon scenery (see pic below) .

The issue that I am having is I really want a better weather overlay. The standard GE one from NOAA used to have radar in the US, but I can only see clouds now for some reason. Also, it isn't live.

Does anyone have any ideas for other options where I can upload (and geolocate) airports that has an option for a live weather overlay? Even better, does anyone know how to get a better weather overlay into GE?GEcap_1.jpg

Thanks!
