P3D V4 No longer working

Featured Replies

In a previous thread I was discussing Heathrow.

I have been making a lot of changes to the setting to get the FPS better.
The last time I did this the buildings all stayed black, so I thought I would shut the sim down.

Bad move, it will not fire up at all now, fails after 10 seconds.
So be careful out there guys.
I will try and install client again and see if that helps.

Client repair did not work, nor did uninstalling the client and reinstalling.

I think I may need to remove it all, what a ?'##'$$£

We were warned not to directly edit setting files unless the editor is compatible with Unicode, so assuming you use the correct editor and make back-up it's just a matter of restoring the back-up. Did you try deleting the config file and let P3D rebuild it?  UK2000 uses some of the old techniques that LM now does niot support anymore, so unless the developer update truly for v4, I would not expect miracle.
