June 7, 20178 yr I'm not sure if I should post here or in the hardware forum, but I guess it makes no difference. Anyway, my question is in regard to FSX and the Nvidia software called PhysX System Software. My understanding about this software is that it's supposed to help make video games run smoother by taking some of the load off the GPU. Should I use this Nvidia software and will it really help make FSX run smoother or will FSX run smoother without the software? Ken Manning
June 7, 20178 yr In order to take advantage of PhysX, a game must be coded specifically to offload its calculations to the PhysX engine. FSX does not do this, so PhyX has no benefit for FSX. Barry Friedman

So when I update, I'll just un-check that box since it won't serve any purpose for me, as far as FSX is concerned.
