DCS 1.5 and 8 Gigs ram

Featured Replies

I have been toying with the idea of trying DCS 1.5, with 8 GB ram ( which is the max my motherboard will hold) just to fly the Huey Helicopter. I would probably get the Nevada Scenery, and wouldn't be doing any combat, or missions or multiplayer.Just wondering if I could get it to run acceptably with an i5 3.1 GB and a GTX 1060 6GB vRam. Mu P3D 3.4 runs great on this rig.

I had 8GB RAM with a much weaker system & flying the Huey wasn't a problem. The problem for me with only 8GB of RAM was when I joined complex multiplayer servers with allot of scripts. So I upgraded to 16GB RAM, but I didn't get any performance boost, just memory.

For you, with the intended flying it's not a problem with 8GB RAM. Also they have bundle deals & sales you can check here https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/

& there should be a summer-sale coming soonish :)

Kind regards
