FSX CTD new here

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm new to the forum. i'm running FSX, flying a Saratoga II TC navigating with the Garmin 530, Windows 10. I'm getting the message "Microsoft Flight Simulator has stopped working". I made sure my graphics card  driver is updated (NVIDIA GTX 745). I removed SP 2 from flight simulator to no avail. How do I trouble shoot this? Are there any known fixes?

Thanks in advance

Tbone

Please check the AVSIM CTD Guide for possible solutions.  For instance, if you are running Windows 10, you should install a version of the uiautomationcore.dll in your main fsx directory.

You should reinstall SP2 as it has fixes.  The aircraft you are flying may only be compatible with SP2 installed too.

The AVSIM CTD Guide provides information on how to submit a AppCrashView Report and/or Event Viewer Report at the beginning of the guide.  On page 10, it provides information on how to fix most crashes and freezes.  See my signature or the right sidebar under Hot Topics for the link to the CTD Guide.

Best regards,

Jim
