PTT switch static noise?

P2a continues to work well for me and each new update adds to the fun.

Apologies if this has been asked before or if I have missed it somewhere..it is a very trivial point:

When I press my joystick PTT button there is no switch or static noise momentarily as I press or release the button. I think there should be and I fear I may have missed an option in the config setup.

Does this option exist and if so how is it activated?

If not, not to worry, just me being difficult again!

That is not a feature of P2A. You can assign a static sound for the background when ATC speaks or you can degrade their sound as discussed in the pinned thread:
