I just copy the main executable fs9.exe and rename it (let's say hiFPS.exe). When you open it for the first time, a new cfg file (hiFPS.cfg) will be created, with default settings. Then you can change your settings and they will be saved and associated with the new hiFPS.exe executable. If you want to retain the old fs9.cfg settings as a basis to start your modifications, then simply copy the original fs9.cfg and rename it as your new executable (hiFPS.cfg in my example), BEFORE opening for the first time your new executable.Marco "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".

March 1, 200620 yr Author Hi, everyone. An expanded, with other methods that I know of, that may be used with multiple configurations. This file includes all the previous information, and clarifies some of the information previously given. There are pros and cons to all approaches and I decided to post all the methods that I know about. I use, Method 1, and decided to post it, in case someone finds it easier to use / understand.Method 1: The pros of this approach is that you can have your
March 1, 200620 yr Author Hi, Pete.See if the updated message, below, helps. It sounds like you have the Path, or some other Syntax error in your Batch file. Post here the contents of your Batch file, and tell us where your "fs9.cfg", or the new one you just created, is, and where is your "fs9.exe". We will need the full Path like:C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9, for "FS9.exe"and the Batch file, and your ".cfg" needs to be in the same folder for the simplest configuration. See Method 2, in my message.Based on that info we can look and see where the problem is. All methods should work. TV
March 1, 200620 yr My interest in this is multiple scenery.cfg files. I run about 7 of them for different regions but only one is active at any time and the rest are "off" see below.scenery.cfgscenery.cfgEUscenery.cfgUSAscenery.cfgAUSscenery.cfgASIAscenery.cfgSAI just rename the appropriate one to it's proper name to fly that area. The scenery is all foldered up to match. Can something like this be added to a batch file to automatically do the renaming when I run the appropriate executable?
