Adding FMC to shortcut

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I would like to have the 2D FMC panel on a shoirtcut like the pther areas of the panel (overhead,...) and maybe also the displays. Is there an possibility to do that and how to do that? Modify the panel.cfg?

Would be great to get some information on that as it would make the flight easier for me :)

Greetings Eddi

The "FMS" is not an independent panel, but, it is linked to the ARCDU panel from which you can expand it (by clicking of the FMS screen) and then un-dock it if needed.

Okay...but there is a popup. And I only want to have the popup of the ARCDU on Shift+xx instead of for example the Circuit Breakers which I do not really need.

I could change of course the values in the panel.cfg but I'm not sure whats the best way to do that. It's faster usin Shift+xx instead of looking down and clicking on that ARCDU. Same for the PFD.

I don't know why but on my screen with 1920x1080 the resolution of the autopilot panel and the screens is quite bad even with all options ticked in P3D. When taxiing I can not see whats my Groundspped to see how fast I am.

You can do a work-around by editing the panel cfg file. (make a backup first) I also prefer having the "pop-ups" available on the shift+xx keys, rather than the 2D panels. You do not change the values as such, you change the order of the windows listed in the cfg file. For example, by default, the PFD popup is listed as #14 at the top of the cfg file, and again in the [window 14] section further down the page. You should change not just the numbers but re-order the windows entries themselves just to keep everything organized. I swapped (cut and pasted) [window 14] PFD popout, with [window01] FO panel. Now the PFD opens up with the default Shift+2. It sounds complex but it really isn't. As long as you make a backup first, it is easy to correct any changes aka mistakes.
