March 6, 200620 yr Hello Everyone:Maybe it's just me - but I'm having trouble with KHEF's (Manassas Regl) ILS approach for runway 16L.It doesn't look like the ILS lines up with the runway. For example, I flew in there today with the Learjet and was dead set on the ILS (horizontally); however, I ended up in a grassy area between 16L and 16R.Can anyone else confirm this problem? I found another AFCAD file in the library for KHEF, but it looks like the ILS heading is the same. Is this how it really is at KHEF, or should I go back to flight school? Thanks - all help is appreciated!
March 7, 200620 yr Author No you are not seeing things - the localizer is offset about 2.440 degrees in the real world and 2.320 degrees in default FS2004 (which is really Oct 2002)http://204.108.4.16/d-tpp/0602/05326I16L.PDFI have no idea why it's offset - but a real world landing will require you to make a slight course correction right before landing.
