March 7, 200620 yr I have problems accessing charts with that link.I can login OK but when I click "Enter" I get a popup beginning "IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE..." telling me that the information on the site is subject to a disclaimer. When I click "OK" on the popup I end up with a blank window with "Done" in the message bar at the bottom. Coulds this be because of the pre-requisites for using the site?"Any firewall must allow direct communication via port 80 to the EAD server. If no direct communication can be established, EAD Basic access may not work."It also requires Java plugin 1.3.1 04. The example screen showing how to download it is dated 2002.I'm certainly NOT prepared to turn my firewall off nor to download a, possibly, out of data Java plugin simply to suit Eurocontrol's peculiar pre-requisites when I've never had to do this for other sites. March 8, 200620 yr Author Hi,You don't need to turn off your firewall, since the site only requires port 80 to be open. (port 80 is normal HTTP traffic)About the Java requirements:The site uses JAVA applets and therefor you need to install a JAVA runtime.I think you can download it here:http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp Location: Vleuten, The Netherlands, 17.3dme SPL 108.40 | Simulator: FS2024 System: AMD 7800X3D - Gigabyte X670 - RTX 4090 - 64GB DDR5 - 2 x 2TB SSD - 32" 1440p Display - Windows 11 Pro
March 8, 200620 yr Download a 2002 version of Java? I don't think so!Anyway, it's the only site giving this problem. Maybe Eurocontrol should change its approach. Gerry Howard
March 8, 200620 yr Before Egbert reminded me of the link I always disabled my firewall to download charts from Eurocontrol.....without any probs. Its well worth it it.The charts are excellent, especially the VFR ones....and I dont think your going to get anything nasty from their site. Its your call.good luck.kevin
