Ground environment Koorbygen gone after update

Featured Replies

I downloaded the latest 10.4 update from the website, and although the koorbygen folder from previous updates remains there, there is no option regarding it on the Main Ground Environment interface as there was before. What happened? What autogen am I using? Is there some official documentation of this issue on koorbygen?ThanksGreg

Have you tried reading the readme about installing the patch? Koorbygen is a separate download, and has to be manually installed.Allcott

Thanks Allcott for clarifying, you are correct.after you upgrade to 1.04 you can download at your own discretion a zip file which is available at our website ; http://environments.flight1.net/downloads.htmPlease follow the installation instructions included in the readme :"GE Koorbygen Install.txt", and you will have your option for koorbygen back. Please be advised that the Koorbygen are alternate replacement textures for the generic autogen and it is NOT required for GE to work correctly. Without it you will still have all your autogen buildings, perfectly aligned exclusively for GE, but with the default MS textures, instead of the more realistic looking Koorbygen textures.

Are the Koorbygen textures the same resolution as the default autogen textures? Jason

Short answer : Yes(atleast the ones we supply)

Thanks for the information. I guess I was confused, because the previous patches came with a readme that unzipped into the folder where the extraction was done which explained things. This latest update is only an executable with no readme that I saw. I see now that there is an explanation at the upgdate site that I simply missed in my haste last night.Greg

I have asked this in other posts, but no answer as yet.....Question, should I remove FSScene after (or before) installing GE?? I have a lot of add-on sceneries on the machine along with GE, and the new scenery (after buying GE) is really great, so it is working, but will it be even better by removing some of the other stuff?? Appreciate your answer, thanks RRL
