Turbo Commander 690 from FSCharter

Featured Replies

http://www.fspilotshop.com/product_info.ph...products_id=687The screen shots are very small, I would never buy based on those.Anyone have this? If so, what's the verdict?I have the freeware Venevienes(sp?) 690, and the panel is a bittoo small for my old eyes, but I love the airplane.AT

The FSCharter has a nice looking exterior but so does the Venaviones one. The panel of the FSCharter is harder to read than the Venaviones one and the VC even worse (there is better 3d modeling in the FS Charter's VC). I have had some success placing the excellent gauges Tim Dickens programmed for the original Abacus Corporate Pilot Turbo Commander into the FS Charter one but the VC is comprised of 17 individual panel entries (odd?) bringing the refresh rate for the gauges into a whole new realm of slide shows. Using the 2d panel views it is quite reminiscent of the Corporate Pilot one (because that's what they are!) which had a nice, readable, usable panel... but this is something you could do with the Venaviones Commander as well. Having acquired a TrackIR4 Pro a few months ago I find I pretty much only use the VC now ;).
