Monitor sync Nvidia issue

Recommended Posts

These days I tested different settings on my actual system (i7-4790K, GTX 1080TI) and I played with the monitor refresh rate, from 60Hz to 30hz and back, to get P3D v4 as smooth as possible.

I also ran user benchmark and then I got the message " Performing below potential (1st percentile) - Disable monitor sync before benchmarking (60 fps cap detected)". No idea why but then searching with Google I found out that I need to reset the settings in nVidia Inspector. After I did that, smoothness and good fps were back. Each time when I change the refresh rate, something gets wrong... I removed nVidia Inspector but after playing with refresh rates, fps dropped, again sync issues, so I had to run the Inspector again and reset the settings. Then smoothness also is back.

This is quite odd... any ideas why?
