March 14, 200620 yr I tried by editing FS9.cfg to try this out, but to no avail. I always thought it would be cool to have automatic panning so that when your bank left your gaze would smoothly move left. It works great to assign X on my CH Yoke to pan view but then of course steering becomes a problem! Even the sensitivity slider is noted so it should be possible to adjust the degree of pan that happens. I want this!Any ideas if this possible? I was hopeful maybe in FSUIPC there might be away, but so far no find.Much appreciated,Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. March 14, 200620 yr Don't think so. Although you can set keyboard and joystick commands separately, so that you have multiple chices for operating the same function, I don't think there s a way to multitask a single controller output. If it's a twist grip joystick you could always allocate the twist function to the pan(snap) view. I find this works well as you can have the hat switch to move the POV and have it `stick` or the twist grip for the `glance` with an auto return. It also cancels the hat switch movement so you can use the hat switch to `stick` the view toward the inside of the turn, but just give the twist a little move to snap the view back to straightahead as you roll out - it's the best solution short of Track IR, which is the real solution. March 14, 200620 yr I don't believe it is possible to dow what you want but there may be a way to simulate the effect if you have rudder pedals. On the Aircarft Realism page, enable Auto Rudder. Then Assign Pan view to the rudder pedals. Now as you make a turn, your normal foot action will "turn your head" (so to speak). If it turns out that this a desirable feature, then you can decide whether or not to continue working on merging the two functions on the Yole's X-Axis. R-
March 15, 200620 yr Sounds reasonable. Unfortunately I don't use rudder pedals. I think for FSX they really should add this functionality. It seems to me it is a simple no-brainer--I mean as far as new feature requests go. I'm not sure cause I don't do much programming, but I would think this should be doable, hopefully from within the game versus within Windows. March 15, 200620 yr Author There is a free program called CoPilot that will tilt and or turn your head in a turn. Has some other good features also. I do not have the web address now, but will try to find it. I really like it. Keeps time in sync too.
