DirectX 9.0 issue

Featured Replies

This has never happened before, when I try to start FS I get a message that FS cannot run because the version of Microsoft DirectX that is installed on the computer is incompatable. Please reinstall DirectX 9.0 I have reinstalled Direct X9.0 from the Microsoft web site but I continue to get this message Any ideas on how to fix this? If i reinstall from the original FS set up disk could this cause problems with all the Add on'?

Have you recently updated your vidcard drivers? In anycase if you reinstall fs you probally have to reinstall add-ons aswell..because of the files copied into the fs dir. (or rename your current fs folder, install new copy and copy from the old folder into your new one.. not sure about the registry keys) but it should work i think

It's possibly one of two things, either your FS resolution is too high or you need to reinstall your video drivers. Anytime you install DX you should then reinstall both video and audio drivers. You can also open dxdiag and run all the tests, it may point you in the right direction

Hello,If you install (or re-install) Directx it is recommended to re-install your video driver afterwards.Hope it helps.
