So, 50 North, what now?

Do those of us who purchased the 737 need to get the "boxed version" for wing views and a panel? Of course I won't even mention the vc... Too bad you don't have your own customer support forum. What a joke.Todd

Indeedwhat a load of rubbish still could be worse you could have the boxed versin with that panel lolyuk yuk yuk

Interesting!Wonder when they will get around to supplying their existing customers with a downloadable update. Thought they would have done this first.

Yep, what a crock, I bought the original place on the promise that the panel, V/C, and wingviews would be supplied. It's not nice to screw your customers. Hope they fall flat on their face.Jim

Sounds rather dodgy to me. Now I know which product not to buy. Thanks for the heads up!James

Another sad example of stuff that is no better than freeware but that the developer thinks he can charge for it. NO ONE should buy stuff like this, or the day when even the repaints and the AFCADs will be payware will come faster than expected.Leo

Its disappoing when they give the promise of developing a panel and VC, give no updates and then release a boxed version with a freeware panel. I now wish I had spent my money elsewhere.

About a week ago, I asked about wing views and was told that the update with wing views was done and sent to Flight1, Simmarket, and FSpilotShop. 50 North said they wouldn't announce the update until all three sites had it online. However, since it's been almost a week and still no posted update on any of these sites, I don't know. Maybe someone from Flight1 could chime in and let us know if, in fact, they've ever received such an update. In the email I received, nothing was mentioned about a panel. I am also curious as to where you're seeing a boxed version with wing views mentioned?Edit--and as I was writing this, I just checked Fifty North's site:http://www.fiftynorth.com/intro.htmThey say the update is now available.-John

The update is posted at Flight1...Looks like a wing view to me--no 2-d panel though.-Johnhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/145287.jpg

Could you post a link please John, having trouble finding the update.CheersRichard

Disregard John just needed to refresh my browser settings, thanks for letting us know its outRichard

Where's the 2D panel?

No 2-d panel in the download, which I have already stated.-John

Oh sorry, forgot to address your question. Look in the Coming Soon section. It's been up there for months, but they just updated it today. I'm moving on from this, but will certainly give my feedback on this company when people ask. The wingview is great (6 months for that?), but it's just a slap in the face to their customers not to include the panel, after stating otherwise.Todd

Yeah but there is no real indication that the panel in the boxed one is the intended final panel. I think its really something that's been put into the boxed version just to make sure it has 'something' and its good for "Friendly Panels" as well who made it. You can check out the actual panel on simmarket. You're really not missing anything with it.
